Tessa’s Residential

Now that we’ve all almost recovered from the residential we’ve had some time to think back over what we learnt whilst we were away. It was great to see the young women back at girls club this week, and to hear them still talking about the residential! At the beginning of our residential to Hind Leap Warren outdoors centre we asked the young women to write down a goal that they wanted to accomplish by the end of the trip. These goals ranged from ‘have a go at everything’, to ‘make new friends’ and ‘not be afraid of the dark’. At the end of the visit all the girls said that they felt they had achieved their goals and that they had fun. We loved having the opportunity to work with these amazing young people, and are really pleased with how much they pushed themselves, tried new things, and achieved things they never thought they would!
