It’s been another great week on the Cranbrook. We had our first Cooking Club session. We got warmed up with a nice game of Food Safety charades! Then had a little rummage in the Cranbrook Community Garden under the expert guidance of Laura, the head gardener, to discover what a herb is, see how they grow and have a sniff and a taste for those who were feeling brave enough. They chose their favourites, which we then added to our first recipe, Spaghetti Bolognese. For some of them this was the first time they had seen and tasted a fresh herb and others the first time they had chopped an onion. There wasn’t much left so they must have liked it. All in all a successful start!
