Introducing Hanne!

Autumn has arrived and so have I!

Hi, my name is Hanne and I am so lucky to be one of the new recruits to the Canaan Project team. I live in south-east London, but was born in the countryside of Norway. Growing up alongside cows, homemade jam and three older sisters. So you could say that moving to London 5 years ago was quite an adventure, but I think I am getting the hang of the city life now. I have learned to drink a coffee on the go, avoid public transport on a Sunday and how to embrace the beautiful multicultural atmosphere that lingers all over London.

I feel so honoured to be a part of the Canaan Project. I write “honoured” because it is honouring being a part of giving young women confidence and freedom to break out of the stereotypical box we so often are put into as women. Honouring, because these girls are important and truly significant. I am looking forward to investing in young women, hoping to see them grow and flourish, becoming the women they were created to be. I am excited to see what the year will bring and what I will learn. I have only worked here a week and I already feel so welcomed. I have a feeling joining the Canaan Project will be a great adventure!
